Yesterday, Ellie knocked on my door and said she was going to the Freshers fayre with a friend from her class and asked if I wanted to come. I thought why not, I either had to go today or tomorrow and it's always nice to have someone to go with! Her friend was very friendly, Lewis also came along, he was wearing a fantastic orange t-shirt with a raccoon on ski's on it. So we walked to Penryn road and walked into the first tent. It was absolutely packed with people, it was difficult to move and I had all sorts of people trying to get me to sign up for things and give me leaflets and such. So many Goddamn Christians trying to give me leaflets, argh! Anyway me and Lewis signed up to the "Anime and games society". I'm not into anime big time but I do like some of it so I thought why not! I asked to sign up, the two blokes at the desk looks like your typical geeks. I did wonder what I was getting myself into! I got quizzed whilst signing up! One of the guys was asking me if I was more into gaming or anime, I said gaming and he was explaining how they'd like to get that side of the society off to ground better. Then I got asked "Console or PC?". I said "Console!", of course, I then got asked which console and I explained how I was a Playstation girl but I can't afford a new one at the moment so I only have a gamecube with me. I did, for a horrible second, think I would be the only female in this club but I saw the person before me was called Jenny, phew! I guess the female members are more likely to be there for anime though. I hope it doesn't revolve around it too much!
We eventually got to the other tent, in there we got free monster energy drink, winrar! I also signed up to a cinema appreciation society which means free/cheap film viewings! Speaking of which, I'm going to get to see the film "9" a month early for FREE next Friday at 11pm! Epic fucking win! So after picking up loads of free shit we decided to get some free lunch. Well it was planned to be free but we ended up buying more food! D'oh! We had a leaflet for free winglets at Frangos (a blatant rip off of Nandos in every single way!) so we made our way there and had some lunch. It was nice, not as good as Nandos though, it felt like a cheap copy or something! Lewis joked that he was taking out two pretty ladies for lunch, bless him. After lunch, Lewis played Guitar Hero Arcade and then we walked home through the park which was very nice. We then agreed we might all meet up later for a bit tonight, so we said our goodbyes and left. Ellie had a lecture to go to but I soon got a text from Matt asking if he could come round for a bit. I said he could so he came round, looked at my video games, my sackboy and showed me some funny videos on youtube. Everyone who comes into my room gets so jealous because it's the biggest one they've ever seen! Mwahaha! For once I have been incredibly lucky! Makes a change eh.
Later on, MUCH later on, me Ellie, Rachel, Lewis and Matt just hung out in the kitchen for a couple of hours until about 1:30am just talking. Funnily enough the "Communal condoms" striked a conversation about sex, birth control and different types of condoms. So very funny! Us students really do have a one-track mind haha! I don't think that will ever change no matter what age we are to be honest! We did get some hilarious condoms in this packet though, we were trying to figure out just how large you'd have to be to be "large" or indeed "extra large"! Sheesh! Rachel had drunk 2 litres of strongbow, which is about 10 units! She was on the drunk train again, as she calls it! Lewis hasn't drunk a drop of alcohol in his life! He made a bet with his mum, at age 12, that he would not drink before his 18th. His mum didn't believe he could do it so she bet him £500! He did it and got the £500!!!! Ever since he's just decided he might as well carry on being sober. Pretty damn impressive, got to respect him for that. Plus he's absolutely mental anyway, adding alcohol would probably rip a hole in the space time continuum or something! I love Lewis, he's so, so funny! I love all my new friends, they're awesome :D <3.
